About Colfax Baptist Church

For over 120 years, Colfax Baptist Church has stood as a beacon of faith, hope, and community in Grant Parish. What began as a humble gathering in a tent has grown through generations into the church family we are today.

At Colfax Baptist Church, our faith is grounded solely in the authority of Holy Scripture. As a Southern Baptist congregation, we affirm the core truths of the Christian faith:

The Bible: God's written Word—inspired, inerrant, and our ultimate guide for faith and life.

God: One God eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ: God’s only Son, born of a virgin, who lived a sinless life, died on the cross for our sins, arose bodily from the dead, and sits at the right hand of God.

Salvation: A free gift from God to all who turn from sin and trust in Jesus Christ alone by grace through faith.

The Church: A local body of believers united under Christ to preach the Gospel, celebrate the ordinances (Baptism and the Lord's Supper), and encourage one another.

(For a deeper look into our doctrine, we align with the statement of faith set forth in the Baptist Faith & Message).

We are grateful for the faithful leadership God has provided to shepherd our church family.
